I like a little bit of everything except opera and most rap. I'm a child of the 60's &
70's so I really love that old rock. I also like country and most people are shocked but I like at least 1 song by Eminem- that's I am- I love the
words.
My cd collection includes Melissa Etheridge, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Tom T Hall, Rodney Atkins and of course the manly man himself- Trace Adkins,
Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Ugly Kid Joe, Carrie Underwood, Gladys Knight- and all in between. I have over 200 cds so you know that I
am really into music.
I'm still upset that my 2 favorite new shows have been canceled- Women's Murder Club and New
Amsterdam.
Other than those I like the Law & Orders, all the CSIs, The Closer, Bones, Army Wives, Cold Case, the Challenges on the Food Network, Without a Trace,
NCIS, and all 3 ABC soaps.
I do watch a couple of the reality shows- but not many. The ones that I can think of now are Design Star, American Idol, The Biggest Loser and Top Chef.
Well, I'm not saying it's interesting but here's a bit about me. I'm married. I've been divorced and
widowed before.
I have 3 children- 2 living, a daughter and a son, and 1 son that passed away when he was 17.
I also have 1 step son and I had 1 step daughter who passed away when she was also 17.
I have 7 grandchildren. Three are my daughters and the other four are my youngest sons. They're between the age of 10 months and 16 years old. I'm
raising one of them. She's a girl and she's 10 years old.
I have an 11 year old rottweiler named Kita. She's my furbaby and a solid member of the family.
I love to read, crochet, fish, take oodles of pictures, hike and just sit in the yard and watch the birds.
I've never seen a mountain so I would love to go to the mountains- any of them! My friend since we
were 5 years old lives in NorthWest Texas near some and I'm hoping to go there soon to see her and the mountains at the same time.
I'd also love to see the Grand Canyon and the Lakota lands in North Dakota.

Malachi 3:3 says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.
As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver."
She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.
The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?"
He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it"
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.
This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them.
And, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.
"Life is a coin. You can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once."
